SARA LOU HARTMAN

For over 15 years in the film industry, my life was built around long days, constant movement, and somehow being in ten places at once while keeping everything on track. I loved the energy of it—and I was good at it.

But over time, I started to notice how little space there was to actually pause.Even when things slowed down, my mind didn’t. It was always onto the next thing, the next plan, the next solution. And somewhere in that, I realized I was craving something different—not less purpose, but more presence. More connection. More moments that felt intentional instead of rushed.

That shift is what led me into the wellness space.

I became a Reiki practitioner, started studying Ayurveda, and began learning what it actually feels like to be grounded—not just productive. And naturally, that changed how I create. I didn’t just want to be part of big productions anymore—I wanted to build spaces where people could slow down and actually feel something.Through co-hosting the Inner Peace Holistic Expo in Pennsylvania and co-creating the Peace of Mind Expo in Atlanta, I saw what happens when people are given that space. It’s not about having everything figured out—it’s about showing up, connecting, and allowing yourself to just be.

Waves of Peace came from that evolution.

From realizing that slowing down isn’t losing momentum—it’s creating space for what actually matters. And building this alongside my mom and sister makes it even more meaningful. It’s rooted in family, intention, and a shared desire to create something that feels real.If you’ve been craving that kind of space—even just for a day—this is for you.

I’ve always felt called to create spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and able to truly be themselves.

Over the past 12+ years, that calling has grown into the Inner Peace Holistic Expo in Pennsylvania. What started as a vision has turned into more than 24 shows and a community of incredible healers, teachers, and seekers who continue to show up and grow together. It’s never just been about the event—it’s about the connections and the energy people bring into the space.

As the owner of the Inner Peace and Wellness Center, I’ve spent years working closely with others through energy healing, guidance, and creating an environment where people can slow down and reconnect with themselves.

As a Reiki Master, my work is rooted in helping people find balance—both within and in their everyday lives. There’s nothing more meaningful to me than watching someone come back to themselves in a way that feels real and lasting.

Now, I’ve been able to expand that work beyond Pennsylvania as a co-host of the Peace of Mind Expo in Atlanta, continuing to build community through wellness and shared experience.

Being part of Waves of Peace alongside my daughters makes this especially meaningful. It’s a reflection of everything I’ve built over the years, now coming together with family, intention, and a shared vision for creating something truly special.

I’m still learning how to live a slow, intentional kind of life. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, running on empty, and wondering if that’s just how life is supposed to feel. For a long time, I thought I was just a workaholic—always pushing to be better than I was the day before.

In reality, I was avoiding what I knew I needed: to relocate, reset, and rest.

After leaving a situation that drained me and rebuilding from the ground up, I realized my nervous system had been stuck in overdrive…like the race had ended, but my foot was still on the gas.

Waves of Peace came from that turning point—from those quiet moments of realizing I was finally safe, present, and no longer in survival mode. That I could slow down, choose what fulfills me, and surround myself with people who truly align with me.

What makes this even more meaningful is building this space alongside two incredible women in my life—my chosen mother and sister—making it something deeply rooted in family and intention.

Together, we’re creating a space where people can pause, reset, and reconnect in a way that feels real, welcoming, and even fun…because healing doesn’t have to be so serious.

If you’ve ever felt burnt out, disconnected, or like you’re craving something deeper, more meaningful, you’re exactly who we created this for.

A mother-daughter founded festival rooted in connection and wellness.
